Second Try at the Beach

Camryn set her toes on the beach in December and decided she was not fond of the sand. We tried again this summer in Naples and the result as you see is the same. She has not found her love of the beach yet.

While Camryn has gotten to be very good at using her little fork and spoon she reverted back to eating with her hands this particular day.

It's soo good she just can't get what's left at the bottom.

She did a pretty good job getting all the applesauce...although quite a bit was left on her face!

Being very technically savvy, Camryn helps Grammy on her computer and later applauds herself for a job well done!

Camryn's newest silly, cheesy smile. She very much loves her 'nacks. (She can get the ending s, but not the beginning one.) She gets very excited when it's time to have a 'nack.

She loves them so much she is digging into my pool bag to find some 'nacks even though I told her they were "all gone."

She came up with only an empty wrapper of the 'nack she had just eaten! haha

Our "Beach" Trip to Naples

Grammy took Camryn and me to Naples so Cam could enjoy the beach. Well, needless to say that was a total bust! I had to carry her across the sand to our lounge chairs and when I carried her to the shoreline and let the water wash over her feet, she cried. She spent the next 20 minutes on my lap under our beach umbrella! So...we headed to the pool, a sure fire hit! The girl LOVES the pool! She likes "jumping" in to me.

In her swimming gear, but it really didn't fit...it rode up. Camryn is such a tiny thing we are having a hard time finding swim floaty devices that fit her. But she has NO FEAR and will try and push out of your arms not realizing she'll sink!

Our Visit to the Aquarium w/ Julie

My super longtime friend, Julie, came for a visit and we took her to see the GA Aquarium. It was a first for both! Camryn was so excited about the fish...but kept her distance in case they were to "get her."

It was so much fun just to watch her watch the fish.

Such a silly girl! She got comfortable in the big room that is a floor to ceiling window of fish. We also saw the new dolphin show. Camryn liked the dolphins, but didn't like the thunder and lightning from the show nor the water cannons that sprayed into the pool. These upset her. :o)

Uncle Holz and Aunt Jen

I know I have slacked and it's been a while since I have posted anything...it's been crazy around here! A couple weeks back, Uncle Holz and soon-to-be Aunt Jen came for dinner.

This is new. Cam will get down on the floor and rest on her elbows. It's so cute!

This particular morning at breakfast. I told Camryn I wanted to take her picture. She looked me and said, "cheese." I was like what??? We never taught her that! It was so funny! So the next picture is clearly a "cheese" pic as well.

Our Trip to Jacksonville

Camryn doesn't meet a strange dog! This is Brett's dog, Rocky and Camryn just loved him!

I realize Camryn doesn't look enthused about the turtle here, but she talked about it the rest of the weekend. She would even take Larry back to the exact spot where he'd tossed it into the river and she'd point and say, "turtle."
